Dr Krzysztof Koziol

Executive Director

As co-founder and Executive Director of Cambridge Nanosystems, Krzysztof is responsible for corporate governance of the Company and liaison with the Board of Directors. He co-shares this role with his academic positions as the Head of Electric Carbon Nanomaterials Group at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of of Pembroke College. Krzysztof has a world-wide network of collaborators, based in industries, universities and government laboratories. He holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge and is a reviewer for different international journals and an author of more than 60 peer reviewed papers and 8 patents, having previously developed a number of working electrical prototypes using unique carbon nanotube wires, including electrical transformers, motors and generators.

Dr Anna Mieczakowski

Chief Operations Officer

As Chief Operations Officer, Anna’s role is to provide leadership around Cambridge Nanosystems's strategic planning, systems and process development, delivery of high-quality products and projects, adherence to applicable laws, ISO standards and Health & Safety policies, as well as talent development across the organisation as we lay the foundation for rapid growth. Previously, Anna worked in User Experience (UX) consulting, healthcare consulting and the software industry, and has extensive experience of managing complex programmes in both industry and academia. She holds a PhD in Engineering Design from the University of Cambridge and her work has been published in public reports and articles in leading international journals, books and conferences, as well as being disseminated in design exhibitions for both public and business benefit. Anna is also an Industrial Fellow at the Cambridge University Engineering Design Centre, a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, as well as a Member of the Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy and Pembroke College.

The Company was founded in 2012 in Cambridge UK by four co-founders: Krzysztof Koziol, Jerome Joaug, Catharina Paukner and Lukasz Kurzepa.
