PlasCarb Consortium meeting in Oslo between 22-23 June 2016

FGV Cambridge Nanosystems is currently in Oslo, Norway participating in a final year EU consortium PlasCarb Project meeting, which is focusing on working towards the final deliverables and the dissemination programme in preparation for the end of this 3-year project in December 2016. The PlasCarb Project aims to deliver a scalable infrastructure to produce graphitic carbon from biogas generated by anaerobic digestion of food waste in order to:

  1. deliver large volumes of the wonder material that graphitic carbon is, to revolutionise industries across power supply, automotive, aerospace, construction, healthcare, wearable communications applications, etc.
  2. contribute to offsetting the negative environmental impact of over 140 million tonnes of foodwaste which is produced in the EU alone every year.
