We are very pleased to announce that the “Wonder Materials: Graphene and Beyond” exhibition at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry opens on Saturday 23 July 2016 and will stay open until 25 June 2017. We are part of this important exhibition about the history, science and possibilities of the new wonder material graphene, which has the potential to radically reshape the way we think, design and manufacture in a host of areas – from racing cars to rust-free paint, from mobile phones to medical science.
Our Chief Scientist, Dr Catharina Paukner, is one of the Science Explorers featured at this exhibition.
This groundbreaking exhibition will help you discover the history of graphite and graphene, journey with scientists and artists exploring the cutting edge of material technology and immerse yourself in the wonders of a two dimensional world.
“Wonder Materials: Graphene and Beyond” will be accompanied by a year-round programme for adults, families and schools, including hands-on science events, evening science socials, “in conversation” style events and creative workshops. The exhibition will tour nationally and internationally, including going to the Science Museum, London, in 2018.
Our Chief Scientist, Dr Catharina Paukner, and our Chief Operations Officer, Dr Anna Mieczakowski, are part of the official opening of this exhibition on the eve of the exhibition becoming open to the public. Stay tuned for more details…
